Bio wheel filter making noise

It doesn't appear that the filtering power has decreased. If its an impeller, can that be something I can change pretty easily or just buy another filter?

WebOct 5, 2009 · If i take out the biowheel there is no sound at all so it is being caused from the WHEEL. It sounds like the bubbles from the wheel are being popped or something.
