Most slicers default to 0.3mm for 0.2mm normal layers, which gives a thick bottom layer that’s easy to build on and provides a little extra material to stick to the platform. WebbThe default height of the first layer is 0.25 mm for the 0.20 profile. See if setting it to 0.20 solves the increased height. For the bulge, Cura 5.2 added: "Initial Layer Outer Wall/Inner Wall/Bottom Layer Flow". See if lowering the flow removes the bulge. Another suspect, for PLA, could be that part cooling starts on layer 3 instead of layer 2.
